How To Add Money To N26 Account

Adding money to your account is an important first step to enjoying all the benefits and perks that come with your N26 card. That's why we've developed a number of ways to make account funding fast, simple, and fee-free: from receiving your paycheck via direct deposit to get paid up to two days early¹, to funding your account from your external bank accounts, to using your favorite payment services like Cash App and Venmo, and even topping up quickly with an external bank debit card when you first sign up.

No matter if you're a first time user, or a long-term customer, there are many ways to make sure your N26 account stays funded, giving you peace of mind.

External bank transfer (ACH)

Like leather bound books and vintage furniture, ACH transfers are time-tested and reliable. You can quickly and securely transfer funds directly from another bank account right from inside the N26 app. Just head tap "Add money" right on the Home tab, and select "External bank transfer." If you've never linked an external bank account, just follow the prompts, enter your external bank login information, and select the account you'd like to link.

From there, just enter the transfer amount, your Confirmation PIN, and confirm the transfer. You'll be notified when your external bank transfer is complete - which takes 5 business days on average.

Direct deposit

Connecting your direct deposit to N26 isn't only the most convenient, stress-free way to keep your account funded, but you'll also have access to your money up to 2 days earlier¹ than with most big banks - so you can say hello to early payday, every time. Because at N26, we believe that having early access to your money is always ideal, especially when it comes to covering unexpected bills and expenses.

Simply provide your employer with our routing number (122287675), and your N26 account number. Your account number is easily accessible in the app under the "My Account" menu on the upper right corner of the screen.

Adding money to your N26 account using a debit card.

Debit card transfer

Once you activate your N26 card, you can instantly transfer money to your account using another debit card, or a debit card connected to your Google Pay, or Apple Pay®. This is the fastest and simplest way to fund your account right from the app. Keep in mind the debit card must be in your name.

Your first debit card transfer is free, but you can still use your debit card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay to easily and instantly add money to your account for a small fee. Simply tap "Add Money" on the Home tab, and select "Debit card transfer," "Apple Pay," or "Google Pay." The money will be instantly available in your account once you complete the transaction.

Payment apps

If you're an avid Venmo, Paypal, or CashApp user, we've made it convenient for you to add money to your N26 card instantly. You can send and receive money to your N26 account with ease using your favorite payment app. Keep in mind that general transfer guidelines, fees, and transfer times vary by service.

Receive instant money transfers from your friends via MoneyBeam

Have a friend who already banks with N26? You can instantly get money from friends and family using MoneyBeam. This is one of the fastest, most seamless ways to send and receive funds to and from your contacts or even add money to your account for the first time. Your friends and family can send you money by tapping "Send money" from the Home tab of the N26 app, selecting a contact or entering your contact information, picking an amount, and hitting "Send.
